Process Rarely specified older product for corrosive environments. Can be brush, roller or spray applied
Strengths Good impervious layer to resist water, and therefore corrosion, but only while coating not perforated.
Weaknesses Sticky, thick coating with no aesthetic properties. Melts in high environmental temperatures (like tar) and is flammable at elevated temperatures. Limited self healing. No alloy bond.
Durability Eventually the volatile components come off and the residue becomes brittle. 10 years max.
